L.A. Itinerary: Detox Day

If you missed the Anywhere Anywhere Passport to Los Angeles, here’s the third of the five itineraries included in the guide:

Too many tacos? Reset your system with a day of healthy living, L.A. style

Start as you mean to go on with a cell defending, bone strengthening bottle of ‘California Sun’ from Moon Juice in Silverlake, where the cold pressed juices, nut milks and raw food snacks are 100% organic.

Head to Urth Yoga for the daily $5 donation class, or walk down Sunset Boulevard for a fun, ballet-inspired workout at Pop Physique instead.

Stop for lunch at Sage; a light-filled café in Echo Park that serves vibrant organic fare to a stylish hipster crowd.

Head towards Koreatown for an afternoon lost in one in of the area’s many traditional spas. For less than hundred bucks you can enjoy a thorough scrub or massage, plus all day access to saunas, steam rooms, and even complimentary food and drinks. Wi Spa is vast, clean, and (best of all) open 24 hours.

Make the short journey back to Echo Park for a virtuous dinner at Elf, where the gourmet vegetarian menu and twinkly ambience will satisfy even the most committed carnivore.

Treat yourself to an all-natural scoop of sorbetto from Pazzo Gelato. Sorbet might not seem like a logical conclusion to a day of healthy living, but the offerings here are organic, seasonal, and completely gluten free.
