Helsinki’s small population and laidback vibe means that, even on a warm Thursday evening in the peak of summertime, the bars are far from heaving. At 8pm, we were two of only four people in A21, despite the fact that it’s regarded as one of Helsinki’s best cocktail bars.
So, don’t go to A21 expecting a scene but do go there for a vast, Finnish-flavoured cocktail menu (cloudberry jam martini, anyone?), well-mixed drinks and extremely friendly service. Good for a nice time, if not a wild time.
