Like most people in Chez Robert et Louise, we went there because Anthony Bourdain told us to. Not in person (sadly) but in an old episode of No Reservations, in which he rhapsodises about this little hole in the wall bistro where your steak is cooked over an open fireplace at the back of the room.
Obviously we had to seek it out, and obviously it was packed with American tourists. But the service was friendly and the meat was juicy and I still think about those amazing roast potatoes, served crispy with garlic and herbs. I would go back for those roast potatoes alone.
