A hostel by name but not really by nature, the Hostal Talamanca is less of a dirt-cheap dormitory for travellers, more of a chic, family-run hotel that leads you out right onto the shores of Talamanca Beach. Reasonably priced (at least, by astronomical Ibizan standards) and surprisingly atmospheric, the Hostal offers clean but basic white-washed rooms, a seafront restaurant and a chilled outdoor bar area, strewn with giant cushions and vivacious, sangria-drinking locals.
Located about twenty minutes walk from Ibiza Town and within close proximity to dozens of bars and restaurants, the Hostal Talamanca is certainly worth considering if you want to be close, but not too close to all the action. But if you do choose to stay here then take heed of every single review you’ll find online - including this one - and pay a bit extra for a room with a sea view. It is worth it. I promise you, it is worth it.
